My New Book

Over the weekend, Peter and I discovered a new book store with the coolest collection of coffee table books (Here in the South Coast Plaza). I love coffee table books and we have been building up quite a collection. So, of course, I had to walk out carrying a heavy duty hardcover to keep me entertained for Sunday...and this is what I got...

I love the glimpse that Rima Suqi gives us into the fabulous homes of these creative types. Here are only a handful for your viewing pleasure...will have to do another couple of posts as there are so many dramatic and gorgeous interiors...apparently there is a limit to how many photos I can upload onto my blog...blah :-( Enjoy!!

The Contemporary and Youthfully polished, Max Azria

The ever-so-stylish Tory Burch

The French born, Sophisticated Catherine Malandrino

The expressive and colorful, Gene Meyer

The creative director of Calvin Klein Collection, Francisco Costa.

The vintage-y, fun, and funky Rachel Comey

The Electrifying Betsey Johnson

The Luxurious, Chic, Flirty

The Classic, Cool

The Fresh and Fun Rebecca Taylor

The Iconic Diane Von Furstenburg

And this is the back cover of the dust-jacket.

This book is phenomenal and a must see...get a copy here or you can always come back and check out my postings of more stylish and intriguing abodes in the near future;-)

Hope you enjoyed...and Happy Monday (or Tuesday already)

Designer Crush...

Amy Meier from San Diego has amazing taste and is seriously talented, It's no wonder she was featured in the Better Homes and Gardens January issue. She creates spaces using elements that are meaningful and functional. As she states on her website Amy Meier Design, "Your home should speak to you and about you, about how you live, where you've been and where you're going," and that is exactly what I go by. I am truly inspired by Amy Meier and am obsessed with her blog...go HERE for some fabulous ideas, eye candy, and inspiration.

Here is the article for you to enjoy (clock on images to enlarge)

And here is a little bit more Amy Meier inspiration

And I had to show these images again...my favorite rooms. Her living room is flawlessly cozy with just the perfect touch of vintage.

and I love her dining room turned office. I want that desk ;-)

If you live in the Del Mar area and need an interior designer...Amy is your girl.

It's Raining Cats & Dogs...

is the old British Slang Phrase that originates from the 17th Century when dead cats and dogs would be carried through the streets of England after heavy rainfall. In current British culture it means raining very, very hard indeed! Just like in "SUNNY" California. This rain is getting old...fast! Never seen so much rain, but since it's not going to stop might as well fantasize that I am on holiday in England, ha! So this is how it's probably there right? Ugh, how do they do it? Anyway, how about some good old Union Jack inspiration on these gloomy, rainy days. Enjoy :-)
