Just a little speak peek of a wreath I made for my sisters shower this Spring. Getting started early, because I know how I can procrastinate and then be insanely stressed the day before the event. I am for sure a little (actually a lot) pom pom happy for this shower haha.

Hello Monday and Good Night. Hope every one's week is starting off fabulously. Gotta wake up early...have some serious work business tomorrow morning and gotta get up at 5 A.M....yup that is a capitol A and an M. Oh pooh!
Wishing I could be slipping into one of these yummy beds. How cozy are these spaces? Love them.

Happy Sunday!!

Hello on this lovely Sunday. Had a very stressful week, with car problems that just made me want to run out and impulsively buy a new car, but a few hundred (eek) dollars later, no more problems...for now. I think 10 years and 178,000 miles is a good enough excuse to get a new car (oh but I am so emotionally attached, not to mention how nice it is not to have a car payment).
Anyway, I am hoping to get in a little relaxation in today, but first I will be painting the closet over at my future baby niece's nursery (I guess that can be relaxing too). Good thing it's just an itty bitty of a closet. I was inspired by this to paint the closet. And yes, I will attempt to use a potato too :-)

Black!!!

When it comes to decor, I prefer white, ALL white, with some bold accessories like a vintage suzani, bright pillows, or a gorgeous colorful kilim rug. But I do love me some black too, especially in clothes. I have just recently started buying some bright tops, but usually wear black...or all white in the summer. I guess it's safe to say my favorite colors are black and white, haha can you tell :-) Anyway, I last posted about black walls HERE and wanted to share some more spaces I am loving that use the ever so elegant color black. Again, would you dare paint your walls black?

Baby's breath...alone and bunched up is so very pretty and feminine. I bought some today to test out some centerpiece ideas for my sister's baby shower and loved the outcome.

My Saturday in a Grid

The other day I was browsing some of my favorite blogs and Sabra from The Lonely Wife Project posted about a cool app on the iPhone to create photo collages. I was so bummed not to have an iPhone to be able to do that....BUT I decided to look at my apps on my Thunder Bolt...and low and behold, I found 'Photo Grid.' Fun way to display photos.

Here is my Saturday in a grid....



Love driving through downtown and seeing my favorite old building. Picked out some yellow paint for my future niece's closet. Had a yummy burger for lunch. Fell in love with a green velvet tufted sofa (in desperate need of a new sofa). Fell in love with some Ralph Lauren pillows. And I always love a silver bull's head. Loving the window display at Z Gallery, check out the pug painting. Tested out some mattresses (also in desperate need of mattress). And finally some pastries and a latte :-)

It's a Beautiful Blog World

Can anybody else spend hours on the web? Browsing at everything that is right at our fingertips? I remember the day when I first heard the term "surfing the web" and thought "what the heck is that?" I hate to wonder what it would be like to ever go back to those days, not even owning a computer...let alone a phone with internet. Too many beautiful things and people that we would miss out on, right? Here are some of my favorite blog eye candy....enjoy!

Lauren..oh Lauren, the reason I started blogging. Love her blog, her style...ah yes, a lovely blog.


You must check out the Enchanted Home....I am living vicariously through this blog. She is building an amazing home and showing every step of the way. It is actually done, only a few more minor details, like decorating and it will be done. How exciting.


Love Jill's blog and her designs are so colorfully beautiful. This girl is fearless!!!

For a little (actually a whole lot) of fashion inspiration, I love to check out Kelly's blog. She is stunning and puts together her style so effortlessly.


And I just recently discovered Edie over at Grace in Life. Wow! Her home is just so beautiful...but it didn't come easy, she lost her previous home to a fire and after a little blood, sweat, and tears...and a whole lot of family love, they re-built. Her office/work space is my absolute favorite.

I am also hooked on Holly's blog...she finds the "ugliest" furniture and creates beautiful pieces, mostly in white. So dreamy.


Obsessed with Amber's designs. We share the same style and I am super excited that she is opening up shop. Oh I can only imagine all of the beautiful, colorful things she will be having in her shop. Like these pillows.




And finally, need the best little DIY ideas? Check out Oh Happy Day. AND....Jordan and her lovely family is living in Paris right now (from San Fran)...lucky :-)

Pom Pom Happy

It's a Happy Pom Pom kind of Monday. Made these pom poms and plan on making a whole lot more. Phew!!!

Oh Baby! Planning away...

for a baby shower!!! It's official, I will be an auntie to a darling baby girl and with May (really) around the corner....that means planning starts like as in yesterday for an April shower. Helping with some decor and styling and some food (not the greatest cook, so it will be something easy haha.)

Loving this farm animal theme shower....so simple and rustic.



Short post for today...I am officially a MAC user, but still getting used to it....and well for those of you that know me + computers=really slow, so it may be a while. (Took me forever to figure out how to load the simple little photo above...don't laugh).

Pretty "Oo--cake"

I hope everyone is enjoying what is left of the weekend. About to watch a movie, like I usually do on Sundays (oh, how I love you Netflix), but just quickly have to share this image of this cake. It's the Oreo Olallieberry Chocolate Layer Cake from Desserts for Breakfast. Isn't is just beautiful?? And it looks so so delicious. I am so tempted to try the recipe...and of course add the gold glitter for glamour (I just want to add gold glitter on everything now) :-)

Let's Go to Church!!!!

I love the idea of having a church pew in the home. A beautiful bench from a special place...perfect! But, you know how I am about things having to be original, vintage, antique, unique...so, you won't hear/see me having a new one made to look like a church pew. It HAS to be one that actually came from inside a church (yes, one that had thousands of butts sit on it lol). To me, it just makes it more special and unique, one that makes you wonder how many prayers were prayed, sins confessed, cheerful applauds for a happy couple, or tears shed for a loved one.
The question is, how do I get a church pew? I need to make some friends from church (first thing, gotta start attending church I guess ha!)

My Gift from the Holiday Gift Swap

As you may remember from here, I participated in a gift swap that the lovely Brandi from Flights of Whimsy organized. I had been wondering if I would get a gift...then I remembered that I had given my P.O. Box for the swap. So, Thursday I finally went to my box (which was full as usual because I go like every 4 months) and had about 3 notices to pick up a box at the counter, a final one that actually said they were sending my gift back if I didn't pick it up soon. I was so excited when I partly opened it and saw that it was from Sarah from La Maison Boheme, I knew right than and there that it would be something fabulous....and it was. Check out my new little on-the-go bag. Isn't the pattern just perfect. And it's PINK inside. LOVE IT!!!
