No Money

My Dear friend Cristina was in desperate need of an office makeover, especially in the offices where she works...everyone has fabulous offices (it's pretty much a competition). So, she asked for my help, but the problem was she didn't have much money to spend...and I love to spend money. We did the best we could with what she already had and came up with some ideas to brighten the place.

(Here is the office before...very blue walls.)

(Very boring board)

(Cristina happy with the outcome...new wall color, added a mirror to the wall, pretty purple pillows, and purple curtain. There should also be a very pretty lamp on that side table, but she had forgotten it at home)

(Here is that boring board again)

(Add some scrap book paper, and get an instant change...and very inexpensive too)

(I love her white couch..she already had it, but the pillows make a difference)

(She was happy to finally put up these cute photos from our trip to Thailand a few years back)

She was thrilled with her new office, and not having spent too much money. I would have done so much more and added many great vintage pieces, but a trip to the flea market just sounded like "I am going to spend way too much money" for her. I was happy to help her and I am sure she feels much more peaceful and committed to working in her lovely office.

1963 Lincoln Continental

This has been my dads all time favorite car for years, but Peter is the one that really turned me on to this car. I want one so bad. I love it, it's just the coolest car out there. Driving down PCH, top down, hair blowing, doing waves with my hand out the window...now that's what I call therapeutic.

South America Beauty

I recently traveled to South America...Argentina and Colombia. I love traveling to old/historic cities...no beaches for me, I have enough of them here. Thought I'd share some photos of the architecture and the rich culture, especially in Cartagena, Colombia.

(Brick Wall outside the Recoleta Cemetary)

We took a side trip to Colonia de Sacramento, Uruguay from Buenos Aires. It's a charming little town. I especially loved these old cars and how they are just displayed there, like decorated streets. Notice the vines and bushes growing out of the car in the far back.

Breath taking views of Iguazu Falls, in Argentina

Beautiful Cartagena Streets...Just love the rich colors and culture

I love this photo of this grumpy looking Colombian "sailor" man and his dog.

As you can see, I also have a love for photography.
Thinking of my next vacation now, possibly South Africa. We'll see.

My go-to magazine

I am hooked on this magazine. There are so many cool projects in here that I can't wait to start myself. It's a great guide on shopping at flea markets and creating some very nice pieces out of flea market finds (or something you probably already have stashed in your home). Go buy it NOW!!
