Happy Week

Happy Monday loves. Hope everyone enjoyed the short weekend...mine was interesting with some, actually too much, shopping at Ikea. I actually gave in and just bought a new dresser (sad face), really wanted an old one I could re-do...but more on that later this week. Had to share this photo I came across on Pinterest. Loved it the moment I saw it...then I really looked at it and noticed what is hanging over the bed. Hm, interesting. Not sure what to think of it. Still looks very cozy and romantic. What do you guys think?

Happy Happy Week

Lovely Forts

Did anybody else love hanging a blanket across two chairs as a kid? I loooooved doing that...hiding out...pretending to have my own little place:-) I found some fort inspiration (for both small kiddos and big kids like me) that I just had to share. Brings back sweet memories.

What a romantic and whimsical little space. Perfect.

As if not obsessed with stripes enough. Such a cool fort.

And the same person who made the above...made this too. I would love this for a garden party. Get more inspiration HERE.

Love the navajo feel of this one. Beautiful pattern.

So my style. Perfect for a fun girls day filled with mani/pedi's, henna tattoos, moscato, and good laughs.

Simply Lovely!

Total cuteness...loving this in a little boys room.

This would be my adult version if I had one. Would love to blog from here. Hm, there's an idea.

And finally, How adorable is this idea? I love it.

Lovely Work Spaces

I love a good work space. Photos of offices, desks, work spaces are probably my favorite to browse for inspiration. I am constantly wanting to change something around or add something to my office or home work space and therefore constantly looking for inspiration. I love a nice clean office, but I really gravitate towards a warm, fuzzy, cozy, rustic, a tad cluttered and lived in office. Here are a few recent photos that inspired me from both worlds. Which do you prefer, a crisp clean more on the modern side work space or rustic bohemian artsy clutter-y space?

Project Inspiration Week...The Console

Happy Weekend. Back with another project to hopefully be done by the end of the summer. This project is to turn this iron stand that we found at a flea market last year into a console table for the television. We actually already bought the wood today, it needs to be stained, and put together by the handy babe. The only issue I foresee is dealing with the visible wires of the television and boxes, but I have a plan just hope it works.

Here is the inspiration I found for the console. Many beautiful ideas. Enjoy.

Project Inspiration Week...The Big(er) Bench

Hello lovelies, today is about the big bench. I don't have a photo of the bench I plan to re-do because it's buried in books that will hopeful be in a bookcase soon. So I am planning to upholster it and tuft it...yes, tuft. Found many great tutorials on-line and it seems fairly simple, so I am feeling pretty confident (trying to convince myself here, but I really am clueless about this). Still deciding on the tufting style...2 or 3 rows? All in a row or in diamond shape? Here is a little bit of inspiration.

Happy Tufting

Project Inspiration Week....The Small Bench

I will definitely need a steady hand for this one. Love bone inlay...but I can't afford it, so I am going to fake it. Found the smallest piece of furniture in the house, with the most simplest of lines to try this on...can't imagine doing a large piece with all of the detail it requires. Plan is to paint bench, detail it using Martha Stewart pearl paint, and re-upholster it. Phew! Wish me luck my sweets.

Oh My!!! Isn't the inspiration lovely?
