Crystal Beauties!!

Just discovered Color Outside the Lines and found these gorgeous vintage style crystal bottles with cross toppers all handmade by Artie. Aren't they gorgeous??? I have had an eye out for these beauties for a while now when I'm out at flea markets...and have shown photos of some that I have found as seen HERE, HERE, and HERE, but Artie's bottles top my list as the best by far. So, as a huge supporter of things handmade...of course I had to get my hands on one (and hopefully more in the future) of these lovely pieces. Will take pictures when its in it's new home:-) Gotta have one too? Check out his sale by emailing Artie at artie.vanderpool@gmail.com so he can send you a list of what he still has available.

Here are only some...

Isn't mine lovely? Love the rose gold color around the crystals, can't wait to get it :-)

And don't forget to visit Artie's blog HERE for some inspiration...love what he's done to his place.

Go-Gorgeous Dress!!

Best dress at the Oscar awards, in my opinion, is the L'Wren Scott cap-sleeved gown that Amy Adams wore. It's stunning. The color. Shape. The sparkle. Oh what a dream to wear this dress. The Cartier emerald jewelry is stunning, but I just wish she would have skipped the necklace and gone with some emerald earrings instead, but oh well...she is still perfection in my book.

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend :-)

Vignette Beauty!

I love creating little vignettes around the house...they tell a story and create a space that is cozier. Whether it's a simple picture frame next to a flower in a vase, or stacked books and a lamp, vignettes give a room that extra "oomph" to give it a complete look. Here is one of my vignettes on my vanity that displays special things to me...a frame holding a sweet poem Peter wrote me with a handkerchief given to me by my great aunt hanging from it, old pictures of my family, a vintage bottle, and a special jewelry case my aunt gave me holding very special jewelry that belonged to my mom, grandmother, and Peter's mom.

Here is some inspiration...have fun creating your very own vignettes.

Photographer(s) crush...Mr. and Mrs. Globe Trot

WOW!!!! I just discovered THIS blog...and am so obsessed with it. Not only are they amazing photographers, but they have a passion for travel (my perfect combination) and decided to explore the WORLD for 6 months immediately after their Fall 2010 nuptials (uh, they planned a wedding and a little 6 month vacation at the same time? Insanely incredible!). In a short time, they have been to Hungary, France, Italy, England, Ukraine, Austria, Turkey, Croatia, Greece, Thailand, Hong Kong...Oh MY, I'm tired just listing all of those places, and I am sure I am missing some. How amazing is that? They are Julia and Yuriy Manchik and they are the cutest couple (gorgeous actually) and I just love love love how they capture the beauty of each culture. The people. The food. The fashion. The history. Here are only some of their photos (ALL taken by them), but you MUST check out their journey at their blog...Mr. and Mrs. Globe Trot (ugh, even the blog name is flippin adorable).

Designer Crush...Hillary Thomas

I was browsing the March issue of House Beautiful and came across these beauties. Aren't these lamp toppers gorgeous? Rock n' Rolla Finials, $55 HERE ...

So I had to look them up at www.hillarythomasdesigns.com and sooo fell in love with Hillary's designs. I love her eclectic style. Check out some of her designs and be inspired.

I am so inspired by the colors Hillary uses in her designs and the mix of flea market finds, fine antiques, and contemporary pieces she incorporates in every space...just lovely.
