Yoga, stretching, and flexibility.

Hello loves!! Happy weekend and Happy New Year. Hope everyone's new year if off to a beautiful start and everyone is keeping up with their new year's resolutions (2 weeks later). I am never one to make exercising a new year resolution, have actually never needed to since I have always exercised consistently. But after a knee and shoulder injury last year, I had to put it all on hold, even my dearest yoga. I had set my self goals last year of poses and inversions I wanted to achieve in yoga. Flexibility was and still is my main goal. Stretching and being flexible not only benefits overall health and vitality, it decreases stress while increasing blood flow, improves posture, improves your body's range of motion, increases relaxation and rejuvenation of mind and body. I mean, the list goes on and on. So with the increase in flexibility, why not get into some crazy poses and inversions right? So this year, I am back to it. Yoga + me = hot loving painful time with my mat...ooh-la-la. My knee still doesn't feel 100% so that means I have to start slow, being carful not to re-injure it. But I am dead set on this goal...new years resolution...or whatever you want to call it. So far I am half way up to a head stand and my toes can almost (or not) touch my head in the king pigeon pose. Will keep practicing, but until I can post some pictures of myself in yoga poses and inversions, here you go, some inspiration to get you all motivated to get stretching, stronger, and healthier. Namaste!

XoXo

  1. It sounds like you're getting good at the Yoga. I have always wanted to take a Yoga class. Me and my son have been walking two miles, only once a week, but it's a start.

Love these Yoga pictures. It looks so interesting to me.
