A Touch of Orange
I have to say, I am quite obsessed with orange right now. I was shopping with a girlfriend this past weekend, wearing an orange dress with orange bag and picking out orange clothes to try on. My friend had to put a stop to it haha. Here are some lovely photos to inspire all of my fellow orange lovers :-)

Fave Look of the Week
I have been loving the striped blazer lately...and...the red pants. Not sure if I would be able to pull off them red pants, but I'm still loving them. I dress up for work and wear heels all week, so on the weekend I'm a t-shirt, jeans, and flats kind of girl (lately it's been my python print flats)but Of course the leopard flats are a must have (at least for me) in every girls closet. This outfit just seems so comfy and chic...perfect combo.

Favorites from House Beautiful Sept. Issue (Finally).
I'm back!! Didn't go anywhere (well maybe to lazyville) but decided to take a week off from blogging. Didn't quite plan on it, but as the week went by, I just couldn't get myself to put together any posts for my blog and really didn't want to do it if it was going to feel like a chore. So, here is the post that I meant to put together last Monday (if you read last Sunday's short post you will remember I said I was reading House Beautiful Magazine and would post about my favorites from the issue the following day). Well here they are (a week later haha). Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday afternoon...and I hope everyone in the East coast is staying safe, been thinking about you all all day.
Has everyone seen the Jonathan Adler Brass Bibelots? I love these. I want one. The Peacock letter opener please. Cute Squirrel, too.
And I am loving this fabric gift wrap idea. I am always up for cute, unique, and creative ways to wrap gifts. Doesn't this seem super easy and fun. Find it HERE.
And in this issues of House Beautiful, the Paint Palette was this. What is it you ask? It's the Nasa satellite image of the dead Sea. It's hard to tell here, but the colors are amazing and compliment each other beautifully to create a very inspiring paint palette of blues, whitish pinks, blacks, and different shades of greens. I would love to see a room designed using this color palette.
Bright bathroom using all over wallpaper from Studio Printworks.
And of course, who didn't love the cover of this issue. The pinks are beyond fabulous. Designer Barry Dixon designed this gorgeous Capitol Hill row house. The artwork from Natural Curiosities above the mantel has got to be my favorite.
'The Next Wave' of this issue has Courtney Giles as the designer to keep an eye out for. Her designs are classically elegant and chic with a touch of masculinity. Definitely worth checking out for some inspiration.
And I saved the best (well at least for me) for last. The Deluuuuuhcious Mr. Martin Lawrence Bullard designed Julia Sorkin's Beverly Hills house and my oh my, is it stunning! From the checker board floors, to the amazing living room and black and white outdoor living space...it's jaw droppingly stunning.
And there you have it. There was so much more good stuff in this issue...but part of me is still in Lazyville and really didn't want to spend the rest of my Sunday searching for photos and links (sorry, but all my fellow bloggers get me I'm sure). Definitely worth buying this issue if you haven't already.
Have a great week.

Ah, It's one of those Sundays....
that I can't complain about. It's been a relaxing kind of Sunday. Actually forcing myself to relax. When I feel like I don't have anything to do I find myself getting a bit restless so I have to remind my antsy self just chill for a bit. So today I've been reading the Sept. issue of House Beautiful (and will watch a movie later). Will post what I'm loving about this issue tomorrow.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend :-)

Missoni for Target
Super excited that Missoni has collaborated with Target and will be sold at Target stores September 13 thru October 22nd. This means, I will finally be able to afford this stuff (still wish I could afford the "real" stuff...it's gorgeous!!) So that first day, you can bet I will be at Target getting me some good ol' zig zag goodies....on my list so far: zig zag colorful plate for keys/note pad/pens for office, stationary, tumblers, throw, scarf, and we'll see what else I find. Below are a few photos I found of the collection for Target (apparently very little photos have been released). Check out the bike...very cool. Anybody else putting September 13th on their calendars too?

Easy 'Summer Days' Snack
Ah yes, Corn dogs...one of those "I remember them from when I was a kid" type of foods. Super easy to make and perfect for a Summer snack.
{all photos by Me}
1qt vegetable oil
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup cornmeal
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
3/4 cup whole milk
1 egg
4 jumbo hot dogs
4 wooden skewers
Mix flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix in the whole milk and egg and whisk together (mixture will be thick so not to worry)
Heat vegetable oil to 360 F.
Thread wooden skewers through hot dogs (I actually ended up cutting hot dogs in half so they can fit in my fryer) and roll in mixture until fully covered, immediately dip in hot oil for 4-5 minutes.
Enjoy with mustard and ketchup (BBQ sauce in my case)
Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

Designer Crush....Tamara Kaye-Honey
The new issue of Ivy and Piper went live today. I love all of these online magazines, they are full of inspirations and eye candy (not to mention free). This issue featured designer Tamara Kaye-Honey of House of Honey. I absolutely love her style...vintage, classic, modern, whimsy, with a bit of quirkiness all in one. And not to mention, she is local(to me)...in Pasadena, Ca. For sure will plan to stop by her shop soon. Here are some photos of her work. What do you think? Does anybody else want those patio lounge chair cushions?
