Old Trunk Makeover

I have been meaning to post pictures of my finished trunk (well at least the inside). This was one of my must-do Summer projects, especially because we can use the extra storage space around here. Found this old trunk at a flea market...it's pretty beat up so I wanted to give it a make-over (remember from THIS post?) But I decided I will leave as is on the outside for now, however, the inside needed a major make-over.

Here is the before. Yuck!!!

Changed my mind about the velvet when I accidentally went down the denim aisle at the fabric store. It was all about the staple gun (my dad's very old staple gun that is, lol.)

Picked up some bright orange trim, really like the contrast with the denim.

So of course it is full of "junk" now. Oh well, it's gotta go somewhere right? Waiting for the glass top to be ready. I think eventually when I am ready to change the outside, I may go with white. The denim/orange will look nicely with white.
