FUN Makeovers!

When I started this blog last year, one of the things I really really wanted to do was look for furniture that needed some loving and give it a new life. But, oh yes, life got in the way. Months ago I started a couple of projects that are now just half done. One is small...the other, well lets just say I have, what seems like hundreds, of nail heads to hammer in one-by-one-by-one. And I also have a mental list of projects that I want to do (paint coffee table, find bookcase and buffet table to re-do.) The fun part is to find furniture that is just ugly and would never think of having in your home, but of course with good bones, and give it a dramatic makeover. So, in the meantime...here are some amazingly talented fellow bloggers who have done just that. They turned these unlovely pieces to beautiful "WoW" furniture that anyone would LOVE to have in their home.

Jill Sorensen of LiveLikeYou Blog and Marmalade Interiors turned this headboard (actually not so ugly)...
into this gorgeous blue velvet headboard for her son's bedroom makeover. It's perfect.

And...she also turned this....

into this! (my favorite..obsessed with the color) Jill, I may have to use this color for some of my future projects...love) {you can check out more of her awesome makeovers HERE.)

Holly of Life In The Fun Lane Blog has tons of makeovers over at her blog, it's her specialty. And what I love is that she only uses white (and some greys and blues) on her pieces. Just look at what she used...

to create this. Isn't her darling baby girl's room just dreamy? {to see more of Baby Wren's room go HERE}

Holly also took this chair...

and brightened it up to look like this...just lovely.

Now, this is a treat. Nancy of Marcus Design Blog turned this boring Ikea dresser that is screaming "Please paint me"...

into this amazing black and gold art piece. Love it. {to learn how she did this go HERE}

I'm inspired to finish some projects this weekend and get started on others (so I say that every weekend haha). Hope you enjoyed these before and afters :-)
